Understanding the web 1: 'Don't feed the trolls'

That's right, 'Don't feed the trolls!'. First, let's get something clear, these trolls we're talking about are very real and they're all around on the Internet. Whenever you read the comments in a blog or video, it's very common to notice some fired up discussion between the participants. It may start with a guy stating that the video is a 'FAKE!', or expressing an absurd opinion, even insulting the creator of the blog. Then many users respond to this message and suddenly nobody talks about the real topic but about what the stupid guy said. Well, that first guy is the troll! He's not that stupid, he is malicious and, surely, bored. Whatever he's commented on the topic is just fuel for that fired up conversation. This guy is the 'evil troll'. And what are the other users doing by answering and getting angry at the absurd commentary? They are feeding the troll!!! So the advise is: Beware of the trolls that roam the web, move on when you notice a silly discussion and don't feed them: They'll bite your time.
